Ant and Dec forced to restart I’m A Celebrity after hilarious wardrobe malfunction

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! hosts Ant and Dec had to restart yesterday’s instalment of the ITV show after a chaotic opening involving a wardrobe malfunction and a prop mishap.

The famous Geordie duo were back on screens live for the fourth time this week after Storm Arwen temporarily forced the show off air.

Ant and Dec admitted on Tuesday that it had been a “crazy few days” for them, and they had a rather crazy start to the latest live show.

In a clip shared by I’m A Celebrity’s Twitter account, Ant and Dec can be seen attempting to get the show underway, reports Chronicle Live.

The blunder occurred just seconds into Friday’s live show

However, as they strolled confidently onto the set, Dec’s shirt buttons burst off and Ant knocked over a candle.

After the I’m A Celebrity opening credits and famous theme tune played out, the lads walked through the doors to the castle chamber.

Then, Dec exclaimed: “Ooh I’ve just popped open my buttons!”

Ant, startled by Dec’s mishap, then walked into one of the candles on set before putting it back in place.

Ant shouted: “I’ve hit a candle off! We’re not live are we? Are we live?”

Hilariously, they were live as millions of viewers witnessed the debacle, before Ant and Dec went back through the doors to enter again and do a much more seamless intro.

Although they then put on a professional face and got on with the show, it didn’t take long for I’m A Celebrity fans to react to the blunders on Twitter.

One person joked “Dec going for Superman vibes” and posted a video of Superman ripping off his own shirt buttons.

“I liked the first take better, well done Ant, quick movement there,” added another.

A third chimed: “Love you boys, very natural and funny.”

The lads themselves acknowledged it online too, tweeting: “Well that was a chaotic opening!”
