A “PREDATORY” ex-Met Police officer who raped and abused three teenage girls has been jailed.
Anthony Smith, 56, carried out his attacks from 1993 to 1997, when one of the girls was just 13.
He was a serving cop at the time, but left the force in 2004 after being convicted of gross indecency with a child in a separate case.
The new inquiry started in 2020 after a victim came forward to say he had abused her too.
Smith, of Weybridge, Surrey, was jailed for 24 years after being found guilty of 13 charges of rape and indecent assault at Guildford crown court.
Matt Cable, from Surrey Police, said the sentence “reflects the extent of his predatory behaviour in the way he targeted young girls”.
