Fans tell Tyson Fury to forget retirement for final bout

Tyson Fury’s adoring fans have told him to postpone his retirement plans until he faces off against Oleksandr Usyk to unify the heavyweight division after his convincing victory over Dillian Whyte.

Fury retained his WBC and The Ring heavyweight titles as well as keeping lineal bragging rights, and could unify the division with a bout against Usyk, who currently holds the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles.

Any potential bout with the Ukrainian would have to come after his late summer rematch with Anthony Joshua, who was beaten by unanimous decision at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in September.

One fan wrote: “Fury vs usyk man it makes sense.”

With a second adding: “Nah! Fury needs to face Usyk.”

A third continued: “Still believe him vs Usyk will be a great Chess match. Can’t wait to see that one.”
