Laura Woods blasts “absolute donuts” for ridiculous rumour

Laura Woods has hit out at imaginative Twitter users who questioned what she was doing while briefly dropping out of view while presenting talkSPORT breakfast this week.

The Sky Sports presenter shares radio hosting duties with Alan Brazil, and was recently on air in the studio alongside former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara, with ex-West Ham forward Trevor Sinclair joining them from home via video call.

In a clip that has been shared online, Woods can be seen dropping out of view of the webcam for a matter of seconds, in order to disguise a yawn, to the amusement of O’Hara.

But following some inappropriate jokes, suggesting Woods “sniffed a line”, the presenter tweeted late on Thursday (April 21) evening: “Bloody hell…I’m yawning you absolute donuts. It’s a live-streamed breakfast show. Give your heads a wobble.”

A fan then replied: “Knew this been sticking up for you in the gc all night aha xxxxx.”

With Woods saying with a laughing emoji: “Twitter is relentless a thread.”
