Earlier today Geelong had a comfortable win over North Melbourne in Tasmania…..

North Melbourne have copped their third 10-goal loss for the season, continuing their inconsistent campaign against Geelong in Hobart on Sunday.

Narrow losses to Hawthorn and Sydney and a win over West Coast have given Roos fans a glimpse into a brighter future. But Sunday’s 60-point drubbing highlighted how much growth they still have to do, following similar thumpings to Brisbane in round four (108 points) and the Western Bulldogs (68 points).

The Cats arguably should have won by more, but sprayed 7.11 to 2.4 in the opening half, keeping the door slightly ajar for an unlikely comeback after half-time.

But after the Roos kicked the first of the third term via Cameron Zurhaar, the Cats kicked six of the next seven goals to jump to a 64-point lead at the final change.
