Six months have passed since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and it has been a living nightmare for Ukrainians. There have been more than 12,500 civilian casualties to date, while over 6.3 million Ukrainians have fled to neighbouring countries. Yasmin Jonkers speaks with Carmen Wong, who is the Head of ‘Centre for Psychosocial Support’ at the Singapore Red Cross. Carmen tells us about her humanitarian work supporting Ukrainian refugees in Warsaw, Poland. We also learn about UNICEF’s efforts to support refugees on the ground, and chat with a young Singaporean who’s been using Tik Tok to advocate for autism.
